California on Film
Hello, friends! I know it’s been long awhile since I’ve posted but here I am! A lot has happened since the last post. For one, I had surgery. It went well, thankfully! I’m still adjusting to life after surgery (mostly eating healthier to minimize digestive problems) but everything has been well.
Anyway, for Christmas last year, Charles bought me a Canon film camera and I have been playing around with it! I took it with me to Japan but my shots came out blank. I was devastated to have spent $20 for developing and they were mostly black. After researching and reading about it, I took my film camera to California hoping and praying it would come out well. After having the film for about 3 months, I finally developed it last month and to my relief, the shots came out pretty decent!
Desert on Film
Took photos of Salvation Mountain, some pool we came across, and sand dunes.
On our last day in California, I took some shots of palm trees and flowers in my Mother’s backyard. Oh how I miss those orchids. My dad used to take care of them before he passed and they’re still going strong.
Los Angeles International Airport
Being in LAX is always a bittersweet moment for me: to leave my lovely Mainland home with my family and friends to go to my beloved island home always leaves me a little teary-eyed EVERY . SINGLE . TIME .
Hope you enjoyed these film shots! My goal this year was to take more film shots especially while traveling and composing a post for them. I just dropped up a film today so I’m excited to see if they developed well! Crossing fingers! Thanks for stopping by!
